Breathedge 2 Map: All Locations in the Early Access Build

Every Breathedge 2 location confirmed in Early Access: Outskirts, the Depot, the jammer facility, what each holds, and how to navigate without an interactive map.

FAQ

Is there an interactive map for Breathedge 2?
No community interactive map existed as of 2026-09-01. MapGenie had not published a Breathedge 2 map and the Breathedge Fandom wiki still covers only the first game, so this page is a structured substitute using the confirmed regional and landmark sequence.
What is the name of the starting area?
Outskirts — the station suburb city, named officially by RedRuins. It is where you repair the crashed train and reach the first Public Oxygen Station.
How big is the Breathedge 2 Early Access map?
Official estimate only: the developers say the launch volume is clearly larger than the first game at Early Access and roughly comparable to its first two chapters, maybe three, with higher level density rather than content spread over many cubic kilometres.
Can you travel to other regions than Outskirts and the Depot?
Not yet in Early Access. The official position is that part of the world is not accessible in the launch build; new areas arrive with the first major update alongside personal vehicles and a new NPC.

There is no interactive Breathedge 2 map yet: MapGenie has not published one, and the Fandom wiki still covers only the first game. Until that gap closes, navigate by region order plus landmark chains — which area unlocks after which, and what you stand next to when you arrive. That is what this page gives you, with each refill point, material hub and hazard placed where it was actually confirmed.

Which areas can you actually visit in Early Access?

Four, in this order. Each is a gate, not a sandbox: you reach the next by finishing the previous region’s objective chain.

OrderRegionWhat it isGate to enterMain thing there
1The crashed trainMobile base and suit wardrobeStart of gamePower restoration, protection slots
2OutskirtsStation suburb city, with its own anthemFree roam from the trainPublic Oxygen Station, antenna chain, Attendant robot
3The DepotFrozen industrial zoneNew Coordinates from the antenna chainTemperature chain, Small Engine research
4Jammer facilityInterior closing the chapterThree jamming readings to locate itThe Jammer, shuttle / alkaline-solution side quest

Everything past the facility is story, not geography: the chapter stops after you retrieve the jammer and receive the final coordinates message, with no hidden continuation — the same save keeps letting you scavenge. Full objective sequence: chapter 1 walkthrough.

How big is the map, really?

Official words, not measurements. RedRuins says launch volume is clearly larger than the first game at Early Access and roughly close to that game’s first two chapters — “maybe three, but that is purely a guess,” their own disclaimer. The density claim matters more: the team says they are no longer spreading content over a dozen-odd cubic kilometres, so expect tighter areas stacked with things to open. And what is not on the map at launch — no base building, personal vehicles, own ship, warp jumps or planetary surfaces. Vehicles plus a new area come with the first major update; building and planet surfaces with the second.

What is on the train?

The train is your base, and nothing on it works until you power it. This chain is also the first route you walk:

  1. Follow Babe’s orange cable out to the External Module and install a battery there.
  2. Return to the train and raise the pantograph to draw power.
  3. With power on, the Space Suit wardrobe becomes usable — the only place you install torso / arm / leg protective modules, so its location outranks any early crafting bench.

Protection is applied at the wardrobe, not where you need it — which is why “I can fly in there but the quest won’t complete” is so common. Details: cold protection.

What is in Outskirts, and where does it sit?

The starting city and the region you will spend most of the chapter in. A repairable Public Oxygen Station sits here, which makes Outskirts the oxygen anchor for everything else — see oxygen locations and trip planning.

Material shapes are the real obstacle here, not distance: Aluminum is a drillable ore node and Titanium looks like a small spiked ball rather than a rock — which is exactly why players walk past both. Reverse lookup lives in the materials: where to find hub, with dedicated pages for Aluminum and Titanium.

What is in the Depot?

Reachable only after the antenna chain produces New Coordinates. Structurally it is one long heating task with side objectives attached:

FeatureWhat confirmed play shows
Ambient temperatureRaise to 100% by repairing Service Warmers in sequence; a measured run logged 17 → 34 → 61 → 78 → 100%
ForemanEncountered during the warming chain
Small Engine researchA research node here; prerequisites and output not yet documented
Hazard / gateExtreme cold — and Cold Protection ≥ 100, applied at the train wardrobe

You can fly into the cold zone long before the quest accepts your protection value. That “in here but not progressing” trap is deliberate: hazards are what drive play, so protection gets solved first, then the target gets reached.

Where is the jammer facility?

Found by taking three jamming readings and triangulating — the most-reported confusion point in the chapter, covered step by step in the signal jammer guide. Inside: a shuttle and an alkaline-solution side quest, then Retrieve the Jammer, then the final activation where the circular reading turns green and you finish it with a crowbar.

How do you navigate with no map marker to follow?

  • Read cables and pipes as signage. Orange power cables run to functional modules; taped pipe runs carry Electrical Tape. Neither is decoration.
  • Treat tool verbs as a locator. Break / Cut / Unscrew / Pull / Drill are how objects open, so anywhere needing a verb is somewhere worth stopping.
  • Bank landmark pairs, not bearings. “Under the platform”, “by the blue glue machine and three orange balls” survive patches; a compass direction from a pre-launch video will not.
  • Solve air and warmth before the unlock. The Outskirts→Depot run is where plans fall apart, and a full tank does not survive a frozen zone — oxygen planning covers the numbers.

What is still missing from this page?

There are no exact coordinates or bearings yet, because no verified source has them, and the launch build exposes no region names beyond Outskirts and the Depot. Deep-wreck layouts, per-region collectible counts and the chicken’s roaming spots are all still open. The next regions land with the first major update (personal vehicles, new area, new NPC); this page gains a section when that drops.
